I will say this with out a doubt. Things happen for a reason, and life is full of unexpected or explained heartbreaks. People come and go for a reason.
In a short period of time my faith wavered back and forth. I wondered if things really did happen or a reason. In my short little life I have experienced an enormous amount of loss. People that aren't suppose to leave you, have left me. I suppose to some degree I have abandonment issues among the rest of them... But as I took a closer look I realize that even though the person has left me, they have also given me a blessing or a lesson. I know sometimes I look a little to hard wanting an answer and that leads to the dreaded over thinking that only brings trouble, but at a glance I can see small gifts. Even being left on the steps of city hall as a baby, has been a blessing.
Recently someone gave me hope for more in my life, and now they are absent. Though the absence is small, I realize they have helped me more then I had thought. I woke up this morning feeling empowered. They helped me move on after a brake uppish situation and see I deserve better, we accept the love we think we deserve. I broke the cycle of unhealthy relationships. I got out, and can now teach my daughter how to have healthy ones. I realized that I am no longer in survival mode, I survived! Not only that but I feel like I am thriving. Life is going well. We are a blessed little family. We are both healthy, and want for little and no one has given us anything, it's been earned. I realized there is a lot more then I had thought, that I would do for the right guy. There is no one I "need", I'm doing great on my own. But I have lonely nights just like everyone else, it's a normal human emotion and it means I am functioning correctly. I have rebuild my life, I have worked to give myself a better life. And if someone wants to join in I need to feel important and special, because I'm willing to do that and more for them. I've gone through too much to settle for anything less. So the moral of the story, We have to work and sometimes we have to wait for what we want. But it will be worth it in the end.
